Our cartridge heaters are designed to meet a variety of specific heating requirements for a wide range of industries, including aerospace, military, nuclear regulatory, and NASA, as well as city, county, and state codes. Proheat cartridge heating elements are also designed to meet codes and specifications of NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association).
The components used in the manufacturing of our cartridge heaters have been recognized by UL and CSA and comply with Factory Mutual (FM) regulations as required.
Cartridge Heater Designs
As the "workhorse" of the industry, Hi-Density cartridge heaters are excellent for high temperature applications and are readily available from stock in many sizes and many voltage/wattage combinations.
Low Density cartridge heaters are great for low to mid temperature applications. They are less costly than hi-density. The construction style of a low density cartridge heater requires very low watt densities, but they have the largest length capacity.
Other cartridge heater designs include the Hot Runner, Split Sheath, and Immersion, all carefully manufactured to produce specific results for specific heating requirements.
Which Cartridge Heater Should I Use?
